2015-2018
You can deny pain, but not evil. Pain depends on a sensorial and spiritual threshold of perception. We don’t know if the tree knocked over by the wind or the insect squashed under our feet suffers. With the suitable sensors or chemical products, we could stop feeling pain. But in a world without pain, would we stop causing or feeling hurt?
Marina Garcés
The magazine L’Estació arose from a transversal and transatlantic project with bases in the cities of Barcelona and Mexico DC, as a platform for multidisciplinary debate where each issue offered the possibility of conjunction between word and image through the sharing of work by visual artists, architects, musicians, philosophers, poets and essayists. Its ambition was to generate critical and cultural debate and promote unexpected crossovers between ideas, images, languages, disciplines and singularities.
The project L’Estació was initiated by L’Estació and its team: Manuel Guerrero Brullet, Frederic Amat, Marina Garcés, Eduard Escoffet, (Tinta Invisible) Martí Guinovart, Ricard Ibernon, Sesé Rubio and (Arquine) Miquel Adrià. Graphic design: Estela Robles. Web design: Oficina de disseny. Translations: La correccional (text services). Press: Anna Pahissa. Original prints (limited editions): Tinta Invisible.
