Javier Abad Alonso wins the ON PAPER 2025 international printmaking competition
The prestigious ON PAPER international printmaking competition, organized by Tinta Invisible edicions in Barcelona, has announced the winner of its tenth edition: Javier Abad Alonso, a Madrid-based artist known for his strong career in contemporary printmaking.
Abad, a certified printmaking technician from Escuela de Arte No. 10 in Madrid, completed internships at the Spanish National Chalcography and took part in a residency at the Edition/Basel program in Switzerland. He is co-founder of the Arco Tijera workshop-gallery in Madrid and has received several national and international awards, including First Prize in the XVII Gran Canaria Print Series and the Corzón Award at the XXIV National Print Awards in Marbella.

The international printmaking competition ON PAPER celebrates its tenth edition with a record number of participants.
The ON PAPER international printmaking competition, organized by Tinta Invisible edicions in Barcelona, has celebrated its tenth edition with a record participation of nearly 200 artists from various countries. This annual contest aims to promote the art of printmaking and foster connections between creators from around the world.
Participants submitted works using techniques such as screen printing, lithography, photogravure, woodcut, monotype, among others.
Due to the high quality of the entries received, the jury has expanded the usual number of finalists, selecting 23 artists who will compete for the €1,000 prize.
The selected works will be on display throughout March at the Tinta Invisible exhibition space in Barcelona.

We invite you to the opening of the exhibition 6 of 9 of the ART-TRA Group. The exhibition brings together the graphic work of six of the nine artists who are part of this group.
The members of the ART-TRA group have known each other for a long time, exchange experiences and collaborate with each other while presenting a long trajectory of joint thematic exhibitions. In the specific case of this exhibition, the point where the six artists converge is their work as printmakers, with the own trajectory of each one and the diversity of paths, styles and techniques that derive from them.
