ARCO MADRID 2025 ARTS LIBRIS

We are going to ARCO Madrid ARTSLIBRIS!

From 4 to 9 of march you will find us at IFEMA

ArtsLibris, the International Fair of Artist’s Books, Photobooks, and Self-Publishing, celebrates 10 years since its first edition at ARCOmadrid. This year, it brings together more than 80 publishers, authors, creators, and booksellers from over 20 countries.

Founded in Barcelona in 2009 as a specialized editorial fair focusing on artist’s publications, photobooks, contemporary thought, and self-publishing, ArtsLibris is now hosted at MACBA. It also has a third venue at ARCOlisboa and will be present this year at FIL, the Guadalajara International Book Fair (Mexico).

ArtsLibris serves as a meeting and exchange space for editorial and artistic communities, showcasing the value and possibilities of printed materials, whether containing writing, photography, drawing, engraving, or other forms of artistic expression as a creative medium in itself. Over its fifteen-year trajectory, ArtsLibris has continuously renewed its synergies and challenges. This evolution has positioned it as the only international Catalan and Spanish fair dedicated to this specialized editorial field within the Mediterranean and Ibero-American context.

Dialogue, experimentation, and innovation are the hallmarks of ArtsLibris, a project that holds a special place at ARCOmadrid. It is both a celebration of these publications as an artistic medium and a platform for seminars, debates, performances, and interdisciplinary collaborations.

The artist’s book is a democratic and empathetic medium for accessing contemporary art. Through its collaboration with ARCO, ArtsLibris has established itself as a bridge between art and the general public, particularly younger generations. It fosters collecting through a diverse and rigorous editorial community, creating new intersections between art and society through publications and artefacts that reflect artistic practices.

These dialogues have connected a multitude of voices, including renowned critics, artists, collectors, and specialists, who champion diverse artistic languages and continuously renew perspectives on the creative and commercial processes within the publishing sector. Since its inception, ArtsLibris has gathered more than 350 publishers, showcasing the vast potential for publications in these formats.

Since 2020, ArtsLibris has featured a digital bookstore and a permanent, dynamic, and innovative space: the ArtsLibris bookstore in Barcelona
