On March 9, within the framework of the contemporary art fair ARCO Madrid, the presentation of the artist's book TRAU took place, an innovative work that combines photography, silkscreen printing and writing in a unique artistic proposal.
The event counted with the outstanding participation of the artist Carles Mercader, the publisher Martí Guinovart and the renowned writer Jesús Ferrero, who offered an interesting conversation about the creation and meaning of TRAU.
The three talked about masks and how they can become more real than one's own face.
TRAU is an editorial project that contains a portable exhibition contained in an aluminum box. Inside, there are seven analog photographs taken by Carles Mercader, accompanied by a silkscreen-printed canvas with texts by Vicenç Altaió and Lluís Calvo. In addition, assembly instructions are included, as well as clamps and magnets to hold the works on the canvas.
