Josep de ca l’Estrany ties his work to motifs from nature. In this case, the folder presented gathers five etchings with motifs taken from his surroundings. The swimming fish, the flowers, pomegranates, and carobs become still life. Against the suggestive, abstract backgrounds, the figures stand out with great naturality, and come to life.

Lliri (Lily), steel plate etching and pencil, hand illuminated in gouache. 18 x 15 cm.

Les garrofes (Carobs), etching with hand-drawn acrylic wash. 17 x 26,5 cm.

Magrana (Pomegranate), two etched and aquatinted plates, hand illuminated with gouache. 18 x 14,5 cm.

Els peixos de la bassa (The fish in the pond), two etching plates inked with poupée. 17 x 26,5 cm.

Pets de llop (Common puffball), etching, pencil and poupée. 16 x 17 cm.A poem by Joan Puigdefàbrega.

The paper used is Hahnemühle 300 g of 39 x 28,5 cm.

The technique used for the prints was etching on steel plates.
