"The artist presents a composition of great formal sobriety and a strong poetic charge. He places a sheet of transparent methacrylate within the framing of the work; this polymer intervenes in the piece through the perforated irruption of an open circular form—an absence that lies at the starting point of the drawing. Its irregular contour recalls a liquid mass suspended in time, as if the material had slowly flowed until acquiring that heavy and silent shape. An overflowing presence of absolute black expands across the paper, which is constructed from a stack of superimposed drawing sheets, concealing another prior presence that remains hidden."

The work has been printed with pigment inks and features a hand-applied illumination in black on absolute black using carbon nanotubes by the artist.
