Books, a range of creation is an exhibition that brings together the selection of artists that arises from the courses taught by the curator over 20 years of teaching at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Universitat Politècnica de València and the Massana School of Art and Design Centre in Barcelona. Participating artists: Berta Aguilar, Joaquín Artime, Alexandra Badia, Vinicio Bastidas, Pablo Carpal, Javier Cruzado Huete, Miriam Del Saz, Andrea Familiar Llopis, Paloma Ferrer Fornés, María García, Daniele Lipari, Agnieszka Marcelak, Neus Martínez Farran, Noelia Rodrigo Pessano, Josep Safont, Fundación Vínculos Estelí, Raúl Villullas.
This book exhibition is a compilation of different proposals, expressive and creative forms of artists, who have chosen this support, as a way of plastic and conceptual expression of their background through their journey as students and professionals.
The book, as a support of diverse character, offers us a range of plastic and formal possibilities within the current artistic practices.
We present 17 proposals for artist's book editions that include techniques as different as drawing, engraving, illustration, photography, as well as different types of binding and binding. These are unique editions, serial editions and even industrial editions.
The present selection of works in this exhibition, I have made it from the courses and workshops of bookbinding and artist's book that I have taught at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Universitat Politècnica de València and the Escuela Massana Centre de Arte y Diseño de Barcelona over more than twenty years of teaching.
