We invite you to the opening of the exhibition 6 of 9 of the ART-TRA Group. The exhibition brings together the graphic work of six of the nine artists who are part of this group.
The members of the ART-TRA group have known each other for a long time, exchange experiences and collaborate with each other while presenting a long trajectory of joint thematic exhibitions. In the specific case of this exhibition, the point where the six artists converge is their work as printmakers, with the own trajectory of each one and the diversity of paths, styles and techniques that derive from them.
Neus Aller, Bruix.net, Jordi Cerdà, Marta Moncada, Adelaida Murillo and Martí Rom present an example of their original graphic work, which includes a compilation of different views and technical practice through different languages and materials: collagraph, aquatint, etching, drypoint, burnishing, photoengraving... The exhibition also shows a compilation of original graphic works produced by Tinta Invisible, editions, with digital giclée printing on Hahnemühle paper.
All these works dialogue perfectly in the exhibition space. Revolving around the room, a dialogue is established that mutually enriches the works. A great harmony emerges from the modulation of these contrasts. It is an honor to exhibit in the anteroom of this workshop dedicated to the world of engraving and publishing, which welcomes visitors with the aromas of ink that are so dear to us.

History summary of ART-TRA
We are a group of plastic and visual artists, who have worked for the updating of art to the cultural scene of Barcelona, some of us being part of collectives such as the galleries Tráfico-Arte (1993), Espacio Blanco (1997) and Aqua Fortis (2013), Arte Actual Artistas Agrupados (1996) -later with the name of Arte Actual Artistas Asociados 4AS (1999)-, Abstracción Intimista del Espacio (1996), Arte Actual Barcelona (1997) and Alter-Arte (2003), among others.
The main objective of our group is to be able to develop a work of cultural character, making known a series of activities related to all kinds of contemporary plastic manifestations, so that these are inserted in the social environment in the most positive way possible.
With this objective, we have worked in the premises of the Escuela de Escritores de Barcelona - Aula de Letras, under the name of Arte Actual - Aula de Letras, we have taken our program to the Casa Elizalde with the collaboration of the Eixample District of Barcelona, with the Espacio Blanco Gallery, and in collaboration with other galleries and international collectives. We have recently rejoined under the name of Art-Tra, a group that was formed by some of our members in 1998 and now, with the incorporation of new artists, we will continue to move forward with the same objectives that have united us throughout all these years.
All our members are artists who have a background of professional exhibitions, both in Catalonia and internationally. At this moment we are ten members in group exhibitions, but we have opened ourselves in other thematic exhibitions where about fifty plastic-visual artists have participated.
Our teamwork gives us the possibility to turn into realities what could be only desires.
